Meet Anders Burg, the Protagonist of False Light

A former wartime naval signal operator, Anders has been assigned to temporarily oversee a remote lighthouse on a lonely stretch of coastline. Experienced, practical, and accustomed to extended periods of isolation, he arrives expecting a routine posting far from the troubles of his past.

Visually, Anders is designed to reflect his maritime background and rugged lifestyle. His heavy knit jumper, weatherworn trousers, sea boots, and watch cap are inspired by the working clothing of lighthouse keepers and sailors. His sturdy build, unkempt beard, and worn appearance tell the story of a man shaped by years at sea and exposure to harsh coastal conditions.

We wanted Anders to feel grounded and authentic; not a traditional action hero, but an ordinary man placed in extraordinary circumstances. As players explore the mysteries surrounding the lighthouse, they will experience the story through the eyes of someone trained to read signals, watch the horizon, and uncover what lies hidden beyond the light.
