Character Update: Dressing Anders for the Job
As development of False Light continues, we have made a small but important change to the design of our protagonist, Anders Burg.

While Anders' original outfit captured his maritime background, we felt it didn't fully reflect the reality of working and living at a remote lighthouse. Lighthouse keepers spent much of their time exposed to harsh weather, sea spray, and relentless coastal winds, so practicality needed to play a bigger role in his appearance.
To address this, we have added waterproof oilskin-style overalls to Anders' design. The new outer layer helps reinforce his role as a working lighthouse keeper, someone who regularly ventures outside to maintain equipment, inspect the grounds, and brave the elements regardless of the conditions.
The addition also helps tell more of Anders' story visually. Rather than looking like a visitor to the lighthouse, he now feels like someone who belongs there. The waterproof clothing gives him a more rugged and authentic silhouette while emphasising the demanding nature of life on an isolated island.
It's a relatively simple design change, but one that better grounds the character in the world of False Light. Our goal is always to ensure that every visual element serves both the setting and the story, and this update helps make Anders feel even more believable as the lone keeper standing watch over a remote lighthouse and the mysteries surrounding it.
As always, we'll continue refining both the character and the world as development progresses.
